“Sasha, it’s fine.” Danny rubbed her back.

“What if Julia forgets something.” She’d been running around the house trying to make everything perfect for the party.

“Then we get it.” He swatted her butt. “Relax in the living room. Let Trace and me handle everything.

No woman deserved two such wonderful men. “You sure?”

“Trace, grab her by the hair and drag her out of here.”

Though she was sure he would never do something like that, she had to check Trace out. His dancing eyes told her if he tried, it would be something she truly enjoyed.

Trace wrapped an arm around her waist. “Come on, sugar. Go over the names with me one more time.”

Maybe she should have drawn a diagram for him. “You know that Granddad isn’t coming?”

“Yeah. It’s too bad, but I can understand why.”

She began with the men in charge. “Hunter and Derek Black were the Swordsmen you saw.”

“Those two I remember.”

“Their fiancée is Jennifer Anderson. She’s a newspaper reporter and not a shifter, but she knows all about them.” Trace had impressed her with his willingness to be in a room surrounded by panther shifters. She prayed he wouldn’t have an adverse reaction to being with so many, but he had to get used to them sooner or later.

“Are the owners of the Drinking Emporium coming?”

“Mario and Jeremiah? Perhaps.”

“The one who was at the store the day we showed up doesn’t like us.”

She rubbed his arm. “He didn’t recognize your panther half.” He pressed his lips together. Before she had the chance to tell him more about the others, the doorbell rang. “That must be Julia.”

Trace smiled and tapped his head. “She’s the waitress who’s engaged to Breck and Daven who took over Jeremiah and Mario’s spot when they decided to open the coffee bar I visited. Those two are with Kendis, the woman who runs the tea side of the shop.”

She blew out a breath. He had been listening. “You’re amazing.”

He kissed her forehead. “Relax.”

She was glad he seemed over his snit regarding Mario and prayed Julia had forewarned all the men about Trace and Danny’s mixed heritage. If they knew her two men were part panther, they shouldn’t react with hostility. While she didn’t believe in superstition, she couldn’t help but cross her fingers.

“You gonna answer that, sugar?”

She was a mess and probably for no good reason. Trace seemed completely at ease and maybe he knew better. Sasha rushed to the door and answered it. “Julia!” Breck and Daven were loaded down with platters of food. “Come in. I can’t thank you enough for doing this at the last minute.”

“What are friends for?” Julia glanced to the dining room table that was already full of plates and serving dishes. “Where do you want this?” She waved a case of beer.

“In the kitchen. I’ll show you.”

This would be the first test for Julia’s men since Danny was in there. Breck and Daven had been in the training center when her men had come in, but maybe outside of Panther Cove, they’d react differently.
